If you weren’t already convinced cruising wasn’t already one of the best ways to vacation, Royal Caribbean makes a very compelling case. The Allure of the Seas has been renovated. And it’s waiting for you to come aboard.
The Allure of the Seas just completed a 58 day $165 million transformation. Beginning May 2020, the Oasis Class ship will be sailing from her home port of Barcelona, Spain and traveling the Western Mediterranean.
What Does $165 Million Do For a Cruise Ship?
Let’s start with everyone’s favorite: food.
Giovani’s Italian Restaurant
Part of the transformation includes the Giovani Italian Restaurant. An Italian restaurant would be good enough on its own. However, Giovani’s will over family-style dining, hand-tossed pizza from the new in-house pizza oven and an extensive charcuterie selection (that is, smoked, cured meats such as ham, bacon, and salami). Wine selection and limoncellos? They’ve got that covered too.
If you decide to go for BBQ, Portside BBQ will satisfy. With a menu specializing in barbeque styles from across the United States, it’s got everything you’d expect. All the popular proteins including pulled pork, burnt ends brisket and chicken. And no BBQ would be complete without sides. With homestyle cornbread, mac & cheese and more, getting your BBQ fix satisfied won’t be a problem.
El Loco Fresh
If you’ve been to Mexico and enjoyed the variety of foods from street vendors, then you’ll love El Loco Fresh. It features casual Mexican “street fair”. Perfect for a casual meal or to get a bite after an excursion.
For some, dessert is their favorite meal. The Allure of the Seas will make sure things stay that way with Sugar Beach. With more than 220 types of candy and ice cream, variety won’t be a problem.
Nightlife Aboard the Allure of the Seas
After you’ve bathed in the sun, the Allure of the Seas is prepared to take you well into the evening. Nightlife aboard the Allure has been updated to keep the party going well into the evening.
The Spotlight Karaoke Bar features a main stage where you can sing along to thousands of songs, play music trivia and even enjoy themed nights. There’s also a private room if you’d like.
This is where you want to be when the sun goes down. Music Hall has an ample amount of lounge seating on two levels! Show off your skills on the dance floor or enjoy the cover bands and revolving setlists.
Additional New Features
There’s so much to discover aboard the Allure of the Seas. Here are some other new features on the ship:
